Earthquake
Feb. 10th, 2010 04:40 amIn northern Illinois, about 40 minutes ago. I'm hearing 4ish on the Richter scale. I didn't feel anything, but folks south and west of Chicago did.
Out to shovel snow. As much as I can get done in an hour, then time to get ready for work. Looks like the snow stopped--hope the roads are clear. Looks like we did get close to a foot of the stuff, if not a little more.

Date: 2010-02-10 02:13 pm (UTC)Started Kuro and pulled out at far as I could. Spent minutes I didn't have shoveling out just enough of the dam to get through. Roads were slippery in spots, but OK overall. made it to work in time for a 7am class...only to find that the instructor hadn't shown up. After a half-hour, he still hadn't arrived. So. Reschedule.
The cafeteria had breakfast shepherd's pie. I allowed myself.

Date: 2010-02-10 03:34 pm (UTC)Lynne thought it was a truck. I wasn't sure if it was an earthquake or an explosion. At least there was no damage. All it did was knock an Ood action figure off of one of my bookcases.
