Feb. 2nd, 2010 09:40 pmLooks like I'll be getting back a shade over 60% of the amount I paid for Gaby's IBD episodes last year. I have accident/illness insurance for both her and King with ASPCA. I was concerned mostly about insuring King, since he's edging close to elderly dog status. Insured Gaby for the sake of completeness. Young dog. What could go wrong?
I am guessing that they will now either disallow any future IBD episodes, or not cover anything that happens within 180 days after the last incident. I'll know when I know. What I really hope is that Gaby's issues continue to be controlled with diet and famotidine. That would be really nice. And given that King is due for his annual physical next month, that reimbursement is going to come in handy.
