Does anyone use it as their primary blog? Crosspost to it?

I'm not getting account codes anymore. I do get weekly updates. Just wondering if the place has sputtered, or is ratcheting merrily along.

I have an account, strictly backup in case this place goes blooey. Several of my "friends" use Dreamwidth as their primary posting location, with crossposting from it.

Now that you mention it, I haven't logged in over there for a month or so . . .

I, too, have an account there as a backup in case LJ goes blooey. I crosspost everything there but I have only received one comment and no new friends in the past several months. I don't get the impression it is really a vital, going concern among my facet of fandom (but I hear it's really big in the fanfic community, who are upset with LJ for reasons unclear to me).

I crosspost over there. I have two invite codes sitting around not getting used, so I don't get issued new ones.

I do the crosspost thing, but I only check my DW reading list every few days or so. Traffic's pretty light there, and most of the folks on my list are crossposters from LJ anyway.

I'm thinking of it mostly as a backup, at this point.

I have one friend who migrated there with the intention of using it as her primary journal, but she seems to be the lone voice in the wilderness. Everyone else I know who has a DW account uses it purely as a backup in case LJ goes boom.

I have a backup account, but I've never used it.

I crosspost virtually everything to DW. I still have invite codes that I never got around to handing out, and I suspect I'm not the only one.

When DW first started, you had to create the post over there and crosspost it to LJ. You couldn't write the post here and send it over there. Did they ever change that?

I'm fairly sure that you still have to originate the post at DW, because DW knows about LJ but LJ doesn't know or care about DW. (My own crossposting is handled by a script I wrote that simultaneously posts everything to my own web page, LJ, and DW.)

I think I've made only one post over there...I keep meaning to go back, but then I can't find the stuff I need to log in (I put it somewhere and then there was the long trip...) and...sigh.

I crosspost some things to Dreamwidth, but only when I remember that my limited selection of usericons there matches the one I want to use on a post here (where I have a permanent account). I figure if there’s ever a mass migration, it’ll be handy to have, but LJ seems to be robust for now.
