...don't slide out the produce drawers in order to rinse them in the sink, because then you will see the stuff underneath. And the drippy sticky that flowed behind. Then the next thing you know, you'll be pulling shelves and taking glass shelving downstairs to the laundry sink so you can soap it up and rinse with impunity. Then you'll swab the whole inside with bleachy cleaner.

That refrigerator is clean.

Freezer isn't bad, so will leave it for later.

I did not expect to do that today, but I am very glad that it's done. Am now sitting out on the deck with a bottle of Bell's Amber Ale, which tastes damned good. It's a bit breezy, but sunny. Temps in the 70s. Beautiful beautiful. Dogs are outside, chewing their weekly bones.

Ribeye steak later. And I don't have to go back to work until next week. And my refrigerator is *clean*.

Gaby just came over. She wanted her head rubbed.

I could use about a month of this.

Everything after the fridge sounds lovely. I'll try not to be jealous when I'm off to work early tomorrow morning. :-)

Unfortunately, the skies are clouding up. There's rain to the north--we could get some tonight. Then, a cold front moves through. We'll be lucky if we hit 60F tomorrow.

But if it's sunny, I'll pull on a long-sleeve sweatshirt and sit out here again.

Wow. You're on a cleaning frenzy today. All I've done is wash dishes and sort out the Tupperware cupboard, so I could match tops and bottoms again without tearing it apart. Next up...the utensil drawer.

I've had that fridge experience, too. At least it solves the problem for a while...

The next place I live has to have usable outdoor space.

Wow. You're on a cleaning frenzy today.

It happens. I go one step too far, see one mess too many, and that's it. The last time I went under my office desk to install a new UPS, I wound up cleaning the whole room.

I also changed a burnt-out bulb. It's so nice and bright in there now.

I'm going to try to avoid spilling anything in there. Or at least, biting the bullet and wiping up really well if I do spill something.

I was watching Good Eats the other day, and Alton Brown was discussing freezers and refrigerators. He recommended wiping down the interior every three months. That kind of spurred me on.

It's so nice to have. I never realized it until late last summer, for whatever reason.
