Running, running, and losing ground just the same.

Last night:

Started: 13269
Ended: 14074, for a total of 805 words.

Tonight:

Started: 14074
Ended: 14589, for a total of 515 words.

I doubt I'll get anything done next weekend at Windycon.

*tries to not talk myself out of this before I've gotten started*

Progress!

Even two or three pages a night is getting started again, especially if you're starting reading at the beginning of the scene and doing your tweaking as you get back into the scene.

I'm proud of you--I'm still editing that manuscript, it needed a LOT more than either of us thought, and I have only two weeks to plan my class and write at least one Allie scene!

Pleaseohpleaseohplease make your deadline. I reread Code of Conduct this week and I can't find 2, 3, or 4, and I want the next one instantly. Help :) You're my only hope for a Jani-fix.

Time flies too quickly.

I realized deep down that to jump from zippo to 7+ pages a night, especially a weeknight, was asking a lot.

One thing I need to keep telling myself is that it's first draft. It doesn't have to be perfect, or even particularly good for that matter. It just needs to be there so that I can rewrite it.

I haven't even set up my new iMac yet. At the rate things are going, I may not get to it until Thanksgiving.

Can't find RULES, LAW, or CI? Did you misplace them? Oh no!

Thank you for reading.

I need to get in some axe practice. Then, time to write. It's a picky scene where I need to lay out the political stuff.

It will keep. Or put it up in pieces, and just play with starting up the mail program. Or are you keeping the PC for mail, and the iMac for work? I'm toying with that--worried about viruses and too many pop-ups effecting my writing computer. It's scary enough having them effect the web site computer....

Yeah, parents have a depressing tendency towards snitching my books. It's only fair I suppose, since I did it to them for years :). Have also had a CI walk off when left unwatched for 15 min at a campus kiosk... never did see it again, so I hope the snitcher gets hooked and buys the rest :P.
