...sunshine! Kinda cool out there, but still.

Just picked another colander full of tomatoes, including several that had split due to all the rain. There will be sauce tomorrow! And sauce next week, judging by the number of half-ripened Romas and Crims.

I imagine Crims make a good sauce, but please tell me you're eating at least some of them with fresh mozzarella and basil.

Crims are actually pretty watery, so when I add them to a sauce, I need to cook it down. But they work.

I have eaten quite a few raw. In a salad with vinaigrette. Did have one by itself with curls of parmesano reggiano and basil. I have one misshapen one that I want to save to eat raw.

Last night, I roasted two of the rain-split ones with asparagus and garlic. Tossed the mess together with whole wheat pasta. I am getting too used to that fresh veggie flavor, and it will be history all too soon.
