Wednesday this 'n' that
Aug. 12th, 2009 09:11 pmIt's amazing how lack of wireless has totally slashed my online time. Methinks I should stick with the hardwire for the next few months, given that I have Other Things To Do.
Tomatoes are ripening! 4-5 Black Crim are turning that telltale burgundy, and a couple of Romas are at the not-quite-ready vermilion stage. Picking a handful of Sweets most every day.
Visited the foot&ankle doc today, and was measured for orthotics. I have high arches that need support. I also apparently tore a tendon in my left ankle during a Stupid Shoe Incident several years ago. That area has been a little puffy ever since, and doctor noticed that I can't go up as high on my toes with that foot as I can with the other. The MRI I had taken a few months after the incident showed swelling, but no tendon damage. The doctor was surprised by this.
It doesn't hamper my mobility. It's just a little unsightly. No more silly shoes for Kris.

Date: 2009-08-13 08:42 pm (UTC)We're awfully close to the blast zone of the phage that's been killing all the tomatoes in the northeast. All the rain and unseasonable coolth has been very bad for the harvest. The recent run of hot weather is a good thing for the tamaters.
