I'm starting to sound like a broken record.

More storms headed our way. I hope the power doesn't go out again.

Tornado sirens just turned off.

It did. Two hours. Rain just sluiced down, the hardest I had seen in years. Water came in all the window wells. I am seriously considering bricking the damned things up.

Thanks all heavens for that battery back-up sump pump. The water is flowing so quickly that the regular sump pump is running almost constantly. I don't know how much worse things would have been if the back-up wasn't there to take up the slack.

The dogs barked like mad at the tornado siren, but slept through most of the rain. Still, I needed a Smoothie this weekend, and I'm getting Rocky Road with extra nuts.

Dry weather for about two weeks would be most welcome.

Ugh. I'm so sorry. We kept dodging the worst of it all day.

Dry weather would be nice. I feel like we're living in Waterworld.
