One of my earrings just flew off my head. A sterling stud-type, with inlaid stones. I'm sitting here typing, and all of a sudden it's bouncing across the desk. Can't find the back for beans--carpet is cream/blue/grey berber, so good the f*ck luck.

That's what happens when you start researching Nicoll Events. Be warned.

I would think that even *reading* about Nicoll Events would be a known hazard. If nothing else, you can hurt yourself laughing at some of them.

If Murphy's Law holds true, all you have to do is walk around barefoot in that room, and you will undoubtedly find the back...although it will hurt a bit.
