State of the seedlings

The tallest/largest seedlings are the squash and zucchini. The Black Crim tomatoes are doing well, as are the kohlrabi and parsley. Everything else is at least trying to sprout--the chives have put forth two spindly shoots, and the

Date: 2009-04-22 12:29 pm (UTC)The ones I managed to grow last year stayed on the vine too long in cooler weather. I don't think their taste was all it could have been, even though it was still better than anything from the supermarket.
The thing I've noticed with the Crim is their vigor. I think every seed I planted wound up sprouting. The Sunset Reds are more delicate--no sprouts last year, and only a few this year. I hope I can nurse them along.

Date: 2009-04-22 12:32 pm (UTC)We are supposed to have a few days of 70s, maybe even 80s, coming up. I will wrangle the planters outside so the seedlings get some real sunlight.
I really want this garden to work.
