Dragged out of bed at about quarter to eight. By quarter to nine, I had a load of laundry in the dryer *and* had wrestled an old recliner to the curb for tomorrow's trash pick-up.

Isn't it strange how you can live with a recliner for years, and you don't realize until you expose it to the light of day just how grungy and OMG How Could I Have Sat In This For So Long that it actually was?

So, both recliners are history and there is still too much furniture in this living room. I keep the treadmill in here now, which tends to loom. I moved my very old--since third grade--desk up from the basement last month and put it by the front window, but that meant moving the cedar chest, which really doesn't belong in here. It belongs in the basement, but I'm not sure how to get it down there without killing myself. I think I can turn it over on its top and slide it down on a rug, but that could get exciting. We'll see. Yes, in case you haven't noticed, I like doing things myself. I hate asking for help.

There's a display case filled with figurines that I could empty out and sell. I bought the outdoor wicker chair inside for the winter. The old couch will be replaced in the Spring sohelpme because I can't sit in it for more than 10 minutes without my back reading me the Riot Act. The old wooden console TV is still working and can receive a digital signal so I'm loath to replace it. Finally, there's a small bookcase, a cabinet, and several tables. Ideally, I would like a sectional or L-shaped couch with a recliner at one end. Then I will need only a coffee table and one other chair. It's possible I could even do without the chair.

On the book front, I have once more managed to paint myself in a truly boggling corner. Not plotwise, she said fingers crossed, but timewise. Production over the next two weeks needs to be pretty productive. Thanksgiving will be a working weekend.

Yup, she did it again.
