65 inside here today too. I listened to all kinds of whining, but resisted turning on the heat. It felt nice to be cool. Doubtless in a few weeks I'll be shivering at 65 again, and begging boys to light a fire to heat the house.
I am not ready for cold yet either. There are still pounds of tomatoes on the vine. My bramble still has a quart of blackberries on the vine. I've enjoyed my after dinner walks, and don't want to have to walk during the day. I've enjoyed listening to the crickets, the cicadas, and the frogs. I don't want my farmer's market to close down for the winter. I refuse to look at those leaves that are starting to turn.
