My wife always figured she’s wind up as one of those women with lots of cats; she just hadn’t expected to have a husband to help with scooping the litterbox.

You've got a long way to go to be old, darlin' (says the one who's getting there faster every day...)

I envision you as the smart, witty, edgy older woman with large, interesting dogs (not little lapdogs) whose regular acquaintances are always amazed to find out she's over 35...but a little awed, too, by the way she strides past with those dogs. ("And did you know...she writes BOOKS!")

Sometimes I think you think more of me than I do of myself. Maybe that's one thing that friends are for.

I want to be the smart, witty, edgy older woman. The first three may take some work. The last is inevitable, as the alternative kinda stinks.
