ksmith: (snowflakes)

The hardware store had sandbags. 180 lbs over each of Harrison's rear wheels made a world of difference.

And as I suspected, my street may look like the end of days--it's a dead end and the plows have to back up in order to get out, so I think it winds up last on their list--but the main roads turned out to be wet with a touch of slush. Ran most of the errands I wanted to run--post office, big box store, quick lube place for Harrison's oil change, groceries. Back home, with just enough time to unpack stuff before heading out again for a massage. It felt very good.

It's snowing a little harder now. I don't believe we're supposed to get more than three inches, but it will still be three inches too many. Think I'll build a fire.

At the grocery store, I took the plunge and bought a half dozen of their 'green' grocery bags. They do hold a lot--two held a load that usually required seven or eight plastic bags. I just hope I remember to bring them along with me when I shop.

Tomorrow's dinner will be pork tenderloin with apple-mustard relish and scalloped potatoes. But today, I need to figure out what to do with some canned salmon. Patties, probably. Then I'll have dinner handled for a couple of days.
