ENDGAME, along with yours truly, will be featured in Romantic Times' upcoming SF/F issue. Very happy about this. We likes crossover opportunities, oh yes we does.

Is it wrong of me to imagine the horrified screams if they read Code?

Congratulations on getting the spot in RT tho. It really does seem to boost readership.

Well, I know that I do have some crossover already. Not all romance readers would like these books, but some do.

I guess I count as crossover technically. Who gets to count me that way, I dunno (been reading mystery, romance *and* SF for a very long time). Still is fun imagining the screams of horror if one of the delicate sorts ran into Jani...

Most of the crossover readers I encounter seem to fix on Lucien. One not-quite-a-reader said that if the books had centered around his and Jani's relationship, she would have gotten into the books more.

Huh. To me, if the books are about a relationship, it's Jani and Tescha. I could also make an argument for Jani and her relationship to Neoclona. Sort of hard to see how a relationship to someone whose emotions got surgically removed could be the focus tho.

Oh, VERY nice! And making a splash in the Romance field can also translate into beaucoup bucks!

As [livejournal.com profile] arcaedia explained it to me, Lucien is the classic alpha male who treats all his lovers like dirt...then along comes the one woman who gets her hooks under his skin.

His emotions were removed. But he remembers what they felt like.

Not that I'm sticking up for him, much. Frankly, if I had a choice I'd take John, control issues and all (and what that says about me, who knows?).

Can I just have Val? Not that he's any safer, but at least you can have dinner with him or go shopping.
