I wanted to watch the end of the game but my husband has done something really strange with the TV remote and all I get is static. Glad to hear the Bulls are turning that one into a good series, though.
I am so pissed -- PISSED -- at the NBA commish for the Suns suspensions. Grrrrrrr...
They led throughout the game, at one point by almost 30 points.
I don't think anyone expected it. So now they come back to Chicago, and I think the crowd might be a little psyched. No team has ever come back from 3-down to win a series, and I know the odds are against them. But I'm glad they made a fight of it.
Two of their best players were suspended for a game just for getting up from the bench after Steve Nash was body checked into the scorer's table by one of the Spurs. NBA rules state that players leaving the bench during an altercation get suspensions, but there's always been a fair amount of leeway in past rulings and this time the Suns' players didn't even get involved at all. The Spurs were playing dirty and the the Suns get the bigger penalty for it. (A Spurs player was suspended as well, but he is not nearly as important to his team.)
Lots of uproar around the league about this -- angry columnists on ESPN, fans saying this decision ruined the best series going. I've a feeling the rules for suspensions will get a long hard look after the season's over.
