About 3800 words today, thus completing a chapter I hadn't planned, didn't expect. I don't know where it came from.

Jani sat back. After breakfast, she had thought to take a walk along the beach, only to be stopped at the House entry by a jumpy Dieter. Reporters, he'd mouthed, herding her into the demiroom farthest from the door, where Scriabin, Ulanova, and Markos sat stranded, their skimmers mistakenly sent back to Karistos by harried Elyan Haárin who hadn’t been taught the fine art of dealing with the Commonwealth press corps.
