...so I bitched about Greg Maddux during the pre-season, and he is starting out the year 5-0. This is the first time in his career that he has done this.

Given as I am a well-beaten Cub fan, I am notNotNOT going to think of what might be. I will only acknowledge what has already happened, because Fate can't take that away.

I didn't realize you were a Cubs fan!

I married into life as a Red Sox fan, but I joined the torture relatively late in the game (2002). My cousin, the nun, though is a big time Cubbies fan - she and some of her sisters were featured in a story the Trib did on "Help From Above" for the Cubs.

I have been since 1983. It's been a rollercoaster ride. 1984. 1989. The Bartman Ball, and 5 outs away.

I tend to root for the Red Sox, even though they broke their part of the no-win curse. I liked it better when they had all those ex-Cubs, like Bill Mueller. I always liked him.
