Not feeling grumpy, for the first time in years.

It’s the little weirdnesses. Like the fact that some of my fave shirts are no longer “work clothes,” and I can wear them anytime. Or that I can plan yardwork for a weekday morning. That I can get away from my desk by walking outside, maybe pulling a few weeds.

In other news, just saw the new Dr Who reveal. Looks like they’ve gone with older David Tennant, but won’t know for sure until the first eps.

Busy times ahead--trying to not overwhelm myself. But to have all those prime hours of the day back is just so nice.

The co-worker who left back in March said it took about three weeks to sink in. Then it felt as though a weight was lifted from his shoulders. He had a much higher pressure job than I did, but I think part of brain still thinks that this is just a long weekend or a week's vacay, and that I will be going back eventually. It's sinking in by inches.

I gather the 12th Doctor is from Scotland. So we have another Doctor from "the North" like Nine quipped to Rose.

I went through the same thing. For me the big thing was not freaking out when a winter storm was coming. I didn't have to get up early and dig out so I could go to work. I could just enjoy being snowed in. ;-)
