Rewriting
Reworking the beginning of J5. Ch. 1, some changes. Insertion of a new Ch.2, ground floor rewrite, completed today. Old Ch. 2 thus became new Ch 3. Reworked the beginning.
Then we brought out the long knives.
10 pages from old 2/new 3, Out. The old Chs. 3 (20 pages) and 4 (15 pages), Out. 45 pages total have bitten the buglight, and part of Old Ch.5 will be appended to the new Ch. 3.
This is exactly what I knew I needed to do. I need to lose a good 100-150 pages from what I have so far, and gee golly, I think I may be able to do it.
Afraid to say this too loudly, of course, or the Plot Pictsies will come to me in my sleep.
