Not quite 30 years ago (shakes head), I started college. August 1976.

Revisited my youth via iTunes and downloaded some Fleetwood Mac. Gold Dust Woman. The Chain. Silver Spring (aka The Stalker Song). A few others.

Almost 30 years. I can't quite wrap my mind around that.

Yes, I have that album, too. Same era, same shock.

I almost downloaded "Tapestry". Granted, this was junior high-era, but still...35 years or more? I knew the whole thing by heart. I haven't listened to it in decades, and still think I could recall most of the lyrics.

Even music from the 80s, which still sounds so fresh to me...it's all Oldies now. How can The Smiths be Oldies?

It's still one of the bestsellers of all times.

Yes! It amazes me how "Tapestry" hardwired. The only set of tunes I know better is the Beatles, in general, that because my older sisters played them constantly when I was a wee young thing, and they are now pretty much imprinted in my brain.
