It be honkin' out there. It's warm, too, at least compared to what it's been. In the 70s, which is warm enough for those two fuzzy black pups of mine. They wrestle for a few minutes, then flop on the lawn and pant.

King taught Mickey how to drink out of the birdbath. Problem is, King is taller--he simply sticks his head in the bowl. Mickey has to scrootch up to reach the water, and sloppy thing that he is, he gets himself and everything around him wet.

I was supposed to meet with a yardcare guy tonight to get an estimate to cut the lawn. Had to cancel out of a meeting at work in order to make sure I'd be home in time. Well, he didn't show. Guess he doesn't need the business.

Inside for the night now. Fresh coffee and a home-baked brownie helped spread oil (or maybe just fat) upon the waters. The cold is finally on its last legs. Nose is still a little stuffed, but we don't feel sick anymore.

Two weeks in the South Pacific wouldn't go amiss right now, but I'd settle for a couple of extra hours in the evening.
