Happiness is unearthing BBQ'd beef from the freezer, then finding one has just enough pasta pesto salad in the fridge for a side dish. Also, learning that the really good brownies work so well with a glass of red.

Strange sky. I want to call it a "buttermilk sky" because that's what the overall color reminds me of--no visible blue, just a pale cream shade. But according to the internetz, "buttermilk sky" is something quite different, a sky peppered with patches of cloud. Kind of curdly.

I think my definition's better, and I will continue to use it amongst myself.

Pups are dozing. The weather is pleasant--70s, a tad humid. The storms missed me, at least for now. Kuro's back in my garage, all oiled and re-filtered and washed. No repair $urpri$e$. I will vacuum him later and install new floor mats because he's a good boy. Then I will feed the tomatoes.

I love putterdays. I live for putterdays.

After lunch, I went out to the garage to work on Kuro. All I was going to do was vacuum his floors, then install the new all-weather mats.

Yeah.

I've told the story of how finding the right place in the office to install the new UPS led to my cleaning the entire room. This wasn't quite as bad, but only because I don't have the patience to detail the inside of a car. I found all these car cleaning concoctions under the kitchen sink, in the garage. They were years old, and some of them had been through repeated freeze/thaw cycles, but they all seemed to work. Since the dealership had washed Kuro, I applied a finishing coat of polish. Vacuumed the inside, then cleaned the dashboard etc with vinyl cleaner. Spot-cleaned the upholstery. Washed the windows. Applied rust-eating primer to the stone dings on the hood. Oh yeah, and installed the new mats.

While various things dried, I cleaned out the mess under the kitchen sink. Bottles and spray cans are no longer balanced atop one another, non-kitchen cleaners have been removed, and I know where everything is now.

I also vacuumed the house.

My feet hurt. And I am wiped.

Not going to gloat about the various achievements, because when I did that two weeks ago, Gaby got sick. So no gloating. I do not necessarily rule, and you do not need to fear me.

Pretty happy about getting all that done, though.
