Friday night
Apr. 22nd, 2011 11:15 pmThe rain finally stopped a little while ago, so I let Gaby outside. Ten minutes or so later, cue furious barking. At first I thought the neighbors had come home, but then the barking intensified. Got my coat and went out on the deck, and saw Gaby near the fence barking at something. Then I heard the something hiss back.
It was dark and I didn't have the flashlight, but it looked like a smallish raccoon. It kept hissing and Gaby kept barking, and it managed to maneuver over to a tree, which it climbed. Gaby wouldn't leave the area, so I was able to go leash her and bring her back inside. Checked her for any injuries, but she was fine.
She's finally settling down. Damn, but she does not back down.
