Cold snap!
Aug. 25th, 2010 08:24 amWell, cool snap. It's in the 50s outside at the moment, and dry. Highs today will be in the 70s (F), which is a wonder after the summer we've had. I was able to sleep with the windows open. Gaby of the Yukon, meanwhile, refused to come inside after I let her out at 230am, so I left her outside (in the fenced, sheltered backyard) all night. Went outside at 730am to find her full of shit 'n' vinegar. She did not want to come inside for breakfast, and ran circles around me and barked every time I bent to pet her. I managed to coax her indoors, where she ate her brekkie and then sat and stared at me, at which point I obeyed my Lady Mistress and let her back outside.
Even King is outside now. The chill has slowed down the skeeters, there's a gentle breeze, and if I didn't have a meeting I had to attend I would be kicking back with a second cup of coffee and taking a vacay day.
And now, I need to do my hair...dammit...
