ksmith: (utensils)
Today was a cooking day. I don't know why I thought I didn't have many tomatoes. Under the sink I have three lunch sacks filled with ripening greenies. That left about 6 pounds of Romas, Crims, and Purples that needed to be used as soon as possible.

...She's here now. She's very active. King is exhausted, and Gaby shows little sign of slowing down. They already chased one another around the birdbath garden many times, and they're outside now. I understand there's a great deal of excitement on both sides.

The Dynamic Duo have been celebrating the day by being utter PITAs. They woke me up early--well, early for someone who was up until 3am--and they've been bugging and barking at me ever since. Gaby refused breakfast because she wanted to go outside and chase things. King stayed inside and followed me around the house as I vacuumed, barking at the Dyson, lying down where I needed to clean, and just generally getting in the way. They're napping now, conserving their energies for later in the day.

The guilty parties:

Here's a better picture of King, who is really hard to photograph. I think it's because he's so dark that details don't pop out well. He just looks blobby, and he's not.
