T-storms rolled through around 430am. I know this because I was awakened by King as he jumped up on the bed. I tried to get him to settle down, but he wasn't having it. If I walked around, he walked rightbehindme. If I stopped, he leaned on my leg. If I tried to lie on the bed, he tried to jump up. Gaby, meanwhile, just wanted to sleep, so she adjourned to the living room and the couch.
I finally decamped to the living room as well, and tried to get comfortable on the couch. The thunder had muted by that point, and King lay next to the couch and fell asleep. Gaby was curled up beside me, also asleep. I realized at that point that 1) I was cold, 2) there was no blankie in the living room, and 3) if I left the living room to get one, I would wake up King. So I pulled my arms inside the short sleeves of my nightshirt, and somehow managed to fall asleep. I even dreamed. I dreamt that it was storming, and the rain was seeping through cracks in the walls and holes in the ceiling, and was pouring in through the back door. I had a broom, and was trying to sweep the water out, but it was coming in too fast. I remember being upset about the fact that I would have to call repairfolk and get estimates and such.
Awoke at 7. The rain had of course stopped. I allowed myself five minutes to lie in bed, stretch out, and warm up. Of course, I fell asleep, awoke at 730, and had to rush to get ready. I'm pretty tired now, and I really hope we don't get any rain tonight.
