Monday morning this 'n' that

Unanticipated vacation day today. Didn't plan on it, but oh well. Got the tax stuff mailed out, which was one weight removed. Take Gaby in this afternoon for a check-up. Currently, she is lying next to me on the couch, with her head pressed against my leg. I can't even put my feet up without disturbing her. King, meanwhile, is in the office, sacked out on his ortho bed.

How does one go about applying for a dog's life?

In other news, there is a deadline out there in the distance--two, actually--jumping up and down and trying to get my attention. The balance of the day will be spent Working Things Out, in between feeding self and feeding pups and taking Gabster to the vet. Tucking in the work when I can. I have the Soundscapes music channel playing in the background. Ambient/New Age. If John Tesh comes on, I may lose it, but for now this music is working because it's instrumental and quiet. No DJs. No commercials.

Feeling restless and irritated with Life at the moment. Life could care less, and has informed me that if I don't like things as they are, it's up to me to do something about it.

Why can't I just plug along a little bit every day? Why do I always need to feel a little angry, a little agitated, in order to move forward?

I took Gaby in for a wound check-up. It's healing well, and the stitches are scheduled to come out on Friday.
