A day

The roofers have departed. House now has more soffit venting and a ridge vent, the installation of which was Part 3 of the Carpenter Ant Remediation Project (Part 1 was the exterminator visit, Part 2 the ceiling fan installation). On Monday, Part 4 of CARP, the trimming back of the trees closest to the house, will be completed. And that, I hope, should be that.

Pups didn't like all the drilling and banging. Gaby paced and stared up at the ceiling and tried to figure out what was going on. King just wanted to be hugged. They both settled down eventually, I think because they saw that I wasn't upset.

My copy of Snow Leopard arrived today. That's been installed.

After the rain

...sunshine! Kinda cool out there, but still.

Just picked another colander full of tomatoes, including several that had split due to all the rain. There will be sauce tomorrow! And sauce next week, judging by the number of half-ripened Romas and Crims.
