Not a surprise, really.

You Are Western
You see yourself as an individual - and you're driven to be as successful and happy as possible.
You know you only have one life, so you want to live it as well as you possibly can.

You see life as a service. You believing in serving yourself, your family, your friends, and even the world.
You believe that one person can change the world, and you'd like that person to be you.

Picked up my orthotics today. I am hoping that they straighten out my feet well enough that I can start running again. I discussed that with the tech who fitted me, and she agreed that it was possible that the issues with my feet could have affected my knees. We'll see.

It's going to be a challenge to find shoes that can accommodate those inserts. They're thickish and stiffish, and proved too big for my old reliable ankle boots. Luckily, I had brought my running--well, walking--shoes along. The inserts worked with them just fine, so I got to wear sneakers to work.

Took Gaby to the vet after work for her ear infection follow-up. Her ears are clear. To keep them that way, I will need to clean them 2x a week. She'll love that.

I also got to sit on tenterhooks while Gaby had a repeat CBC. Her platelet count 10 days ago was 64K/ul, which is way the hell low--normal range is 175-500. The reason for the low result was that the platelets clumped together. That's normally indicative of a tickborne disease, but Gaby tested negative for those. Vet felt that because she had had some trouble drawing Gaby's blood, it may have started to clot, which would explain the clumping. Apparently that was the case because the repeat result was well in spec. 278 K/ul.

The last outstanding test is the urinalysis. Gaby's just about impossible to sample by the usual method of stickingapanunderneathherrealfast, so they catheterized her. But first, they had to ultrasound her bladder because it's so small. Guess that explains why she can't hold it in for more than 4-5 hours.

Fingers crossed that one last test is normal.

Rainy evening. Rain tomorrow. Hope it isn't raining Friday so the roofers can install the venting.

The excitement. It never stops.
