For weeks, temps struggled to get out of the 60s, and we wondered if summer would ever come. Then we had a wave of storms late last week, which ushered in something commonly known as Hot. We've had temps in the 80s ever since, with humidities at August levels. 80s and 90s all this week, with heat advisories inland. It's already close to 70 outside, and it's only 630am.
Cutting the lawn is no longer an opportunity to get some exercise and think about things. Its a slog.
The one thing benefiting from this is the garden--plants have exploded over the last few days. All the Black Crim tomatoes have buds, and even the basil looks happier. The zucchini has greened up as well. 60s were indeed too cold for it.
The pups don't care for it. Even Gaby heads for the shade, and King ony goes out if he absolutely has to.
