Over 400 pages written, about 300 in sequence from the beginning. I usually have these grinds-to-a-halt around page 200.

Thanks to beta readers for highlighting issues, which have been confirmed by editor. Editor also, as editor is wont to do, added that one short, simple comment that managed to upend everything, or confirm my subconscious decision, or something. Or all of the above.

Awaiting a confirmatory email. With or without, however, tonight will be a Night of the Long Knives. With wine.

I am actually looking forward to it.
