Last day of the con
Aug. 10th, 2008 05:15 pmNot the sort of last day I had envisioned. I had intended to go to the Eos New Releases panel, then hike over to the Art Show to help with teardown. I did manage to get to the Eos panel, but then I returned directly to the hotel and crashed for three hours.
Now the con is done. Dead dog parties are for other people. I will likely beg off dinner with friends this evening, order a big bowl of soup from room service, and zone. I managed to hike down to the concierge desk to check in to my flight and print out my boarding pass. The shuttle to the airport comes by every 15 minutes, so I don't need to make a reservation. Tomorrow will be an airport day. Not looking forward to it. But the cold seems to be in its easing-off-though-still-there stage. Another decent night's sleep should improve matters, I hope.
Twenty or so hours from now, barring delays, I will be back in Illinois. Then it's to home. I want to be home.
