Garage called this morning. Harrison is ready. Turned out to be, iirc, the lower intake gasket, not the head gasket as initially thought. So the bill was half what I thought it would be.

Came home to find part of the back fence missing and some men in my backyard discussing the situation. The fencing that surrounds my backyard is an overlapping mishmash of that from several yards, and one neighbor finally decided that his wood slat stretch needed to be replaced. It was here when I moved in, and was grey and leaning and missing slats--when Mickey went to harass the neighbor dogs, he did so through the gaps in that fence.

So now that fence is gone and a new stretch should be up by tomorrow evening, neighbor says. Hope hope. In the meantime, King needs to stay on a leash when he goes outside. So he could stretch his legs, I took him with when I walked to the garage to get Harrison. He met the guys, who marveled at his size--he's just a baby what are they talking about?--then got a short ride home in a truck with new gaskets. Mechanic showed me the old gaskets, which were cracking in places. New gaskets are made of sturdier stuff.

I need to drive Harrison more. Given that King is reluctant to even attempt to get in Kuro, I think I'll be keeping the Blue Boy for a while.

Now I need to make dinner...
