Awakened at 7ish by a cold nose, followed by the padding of feet as their owner took off to another part of the house. Then came silence. King and silence make me nervous, so out of bed I got myself. By noon, I had taken King for a walk, dosed Mickey with meds, done two loads of laundry, and finished Ch 3 of the Gideon proposal. Day of rest. OK.

Very happy to say that I managed to revise the synopsis portion of the proposal as well, and emailed it off to [livejournal.com profile] arcaedia for her comments. The first three chapters total 82 pages--a little long for me, but I'll worry about it later--and the synopsis of the rest came in at 19 pages, which is some kind of record given that previous synopses have run anywhere from 60-80 manuscript pages. I'm not sure that I've hit all the details I need to hit with this one, but I want to get input from [livejournal.com profile] arcaedia regarding the story overall before I start picking nits. It's a new genre and everything, and I'm excited and edgy at the same time.

I am sooo glad this is done. Maybe not done done, but, well, done.
