Working during lunch
May. 1st, 2007 12:03 pmAny book where I get to write a spell in the first chapter promises to be a fun book. Maybe not fun for my characters, but fun for me from a writing pov.
A lot happens in this first chapter. It pretty much sets up the entire book. Still sorting out names and Writing The Dialogue First. Inserting the hints of things to come. Already ready had a couple of small "click" moments, when I write something, then stare at it and realize it pulls a couple of plot lines together and opens up another and just plain *fits*. I love those moments.
Good news on the health front. Visit to dermatologist for one thing led to discussion of other things, which led to blood tests. Office phoned today--all results normal. Let's hear it for normal results. May they continue, since I still need to set up the usual visits that I told myself I would set up earlier this year. But, one thing at a time, because I really hate going to the doctor.
I'd much rather write spells. Watch baseball. Play with the pups.
