When you come in to work to find an email from someone informing you that they left a bag in your cube for safekeeping while they're out on vacation, you have no way of getting in touch with them until they get back, and THERE IS NO BAG.

Not the rat poison findings, but a reassuring email from the Mars company, whose brands weren't affected:

On March 16, Menu Foods, a manufacturer of pet foods, announced that it was recalling millions of cans and foil pouches of wet dog and cat food.

This recent nationwide pet food recall does not include any Mars Petcare US pet food products. of our brands, including PEDIGREE® food for dogs, CESAR® canine cuisine, THE GOODLIFE RECIPE™ food for cats and dogs, WHISKAS® and SHEBA® food for cats, are safe for pets to enjoy.


I received the email today. I confess to feeling relieved, because Pedigree was the last soft food my guys got. Granted, it was weeks ago, and I would have seen any ill effects by now, but still...
