Well, what does this mean?

Strange dream last night. I started a new job in a building undergoing renovation. The job was with a book publisher--I actually recognized the names of some of my new coworkers, but not their faces. I don't recall what I was hired to do, but I don't think I was writing books.

The building was in really bad shape. It seemed to be part old house, part old warehouse--a rickety elevator and lots of exposed pipes and brickwork. It reminded me a little bit of the new business incubator in Columbus OH where I passed a year and a half of my working life. The front offices were ok, but the lunch area was the converted loading dock, and it hadn't been completely converted.

ANYway, renovation, construction, and things far from completion seemed to be the themes. You could say they reflect my state of mind, on multiple levels.

A question for the house

Mostly for the female half of the workforce. Guys wear black shoes. Black shoes make sense to me. I *like* black shoes. But I commit fashion faux pas on a daily basis. This is why I create polls and throw the question open to the house.
