ksmith: (teashop)
Tired. Eyes are bugging me due to too much screen time. But, a chapter and a half reworked yesterday--wound up splitting one chapter in two, even though the only good break point made for a 9-page chapter but thing is, I don't do 28 page chapters. It feels wrong to me, even though I know other folks do it all the time. Me, I start getting edgy once I hit the 20-page mark. 21-22 is my upper limit.

Anyway, between new words and rework, a tick under 3800 words so far today. I'd like to hit 5000. I'm working out of order, writing the last two chapters and the epilogue because while the entire ending is in my head, those were the scenes I felt like writing.

I have a lot to do between now and next Sunday, and the panic awakened me at 4am. Part of me has already put this book to bed and no, really, it's not ready yet.
