Always one to push my luck, I will celebrate my Incident deadline extension by setting it aside for a little while. Much was added over the past few weeks--blasted thing is up over 20K--and what's there needs some time to cure. Instead, I will juggle J5 with another story that might qualify as a commission, although rejection is still a possibility. This prospective editor likes the story idea and the proposed tone. I noodled a few words over the last week or two, but started working on it in earnest over lunch today. I have an ending, and considered how to expand upon it as I mowed the front yard this evening. Yardwork aids a treat in sifting through plot issues.
