The Incident draft is up to 3200+ words. I suspect it will shake out to be a novelette (7500-17500) rather than a novella (17500-40000?), but we'll see.

I like the story so far. Jani gets to rant within the first few pages. It's a rather long rant, with sarcasm. Don't know yet if it runs too long. Whether it does or not, we're not editing yet.

Worked on J5 last night. It will have a new Chapter 2, which may contain parts of the old Chapters 2, 3, and maybe some of 4. The goal is to get Chapter 8, which is posted on my website, down to about Chapter 5 or so.

It's officially "let's squeeze 10 pounds of book in a 5-pound bag' time.
