Can anyone recommend some good writing music? My tastes run along Ivy/St Etienne/Moby/Lush lines in that regard--I can handle singing if the voices are soft and not too idiosyncratic. Anything too rhythmic or head-bangy distracts.

I don't know much about ambient, but I like Sigur Ros without the vocals, or instrumental Moby, I like Delerium, too, and don't find those vocals distracting.

This is fascinating in a Six Degrees of Separation kind of way. It will be very interesting to see how it plays out, and how much of JT Leroy's acceptance came from the quality of the writing and how much from the perception of the writer.

An NYT article, so registration most likely required.

1880 words. Since I'm trying for 1250 words/day minimum, this covers yesterday's shortfall and today's total requirement.

We won't talk about the missed quotas for the last week. We just won't.

And tomorrow I gets to start all over again! Yea.
