ksmith: (celebrate)
Sunday usually isn't a day for accomplishing things, which makes me doubly pleased about today's tick marks on the checklist of life. Found a portable bike rack on eBay for $ less than I would have paid retail, and that includes the shipping charge. Was just about to buy a gutter cleaning tool from a catalog when I decided to check online for more prices--who would have thought that the product manufacturer website would offer the best price?

Finally, I just finished washing my office windows, which really were in hidjous condition. Very pleased.

There I was, typing merrily away. Always open to new ways to distract myself, I decided that I should rearrange my desk a bit and plug my flash card reader into my new USB hub. First, I unplug it from the back of my iMac, then I dust it off with some canned air. Then I try to plug it into my USB hub, at which point I realize that it's a FIREWIRE connection, dummy, and my new hub only has USB. So I go to plug the card reader back into my iMac, and just as the connector contacts the iMac firewire port, I 1) see a small spark, and 2) watch my iMac go completely dark.

Can anyone rec a flash card reader?
