Tough series of scenes. It's difficult to write a disjointed, confused, heartsick POV without the resulting scenes seeming...disjointed and confused. Jani's pacing, walking around, asking seemingly meaningless, unconnected questions because she's just had the rug pulled out from under and her racing brain is hunting for something to latch onto. A reason for the turmoil. She's looking for the orderly explanation, and I need to make it seem as though she finds it without having it drop in her lap. It's the snoop in her, realizing something is wrong even though she can't put her finger on it, and poking poking poking. Heading in the right direction, even though she doesn't know it. Asking questions because something down deep is telling her that they need to be asked. She'll know the answer when she hears it.
