A Turkey Day memory for those of us of a certain age.

Note: One person who tried the link viewed an ad and nothing else. I’m having trouble with those Hulu links. I had wanted to post a link to the entire show, not just a clip of the punchline. I was able to go to Hulu and watch the entire episode with only the odd short commercial interruption, but when I tried to use their embed code, the resulting clip turned out to be an ad and an invitation to register at Hulu. So if anyone wants to see the whole show or just the punchline, just search on “WKRP turkey” and you should find what’s needed.

I will also note that it would have been physically impossible for Gary Sandy’s clothes to get any tighter w/o restricting bloodflow.

Oh, ghod, yes. I saw that the night it first aired and I thought I was going to hurt myself laughing. Priceless.

Thank you so much for posting this. I haven't seen this episode since it first aired--and it's still one of the funniest damn things ever aired on TV. Awesome. Happy Thanksgiving!

You might need to click "Autoplay on" to get the show after the commercial.

It's one of those things that's simultaneously horrifying and hilarious. It really says something about how humor works.

The last line ("As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly") will live forever.

That WKRP episode is a classic. Oh, the humanity, indeed! Love it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hadn't seen it in years, although I did see it when it first ran, and never forgot it.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
