I hate giving the Evil Empire V2.0 the business, but I’ve broken down and downloaded Chrome. Safari gets slower with every iteration when it isn’t crashing/locking up/failing, and Firefox has proved a victim of its own success. It used to be a Lightning Fast Freddie answer to IE. Now it’s as kludgy as Safari.

So. We’ll see how well Chrome works. So far, it is indeed faster.

Update: Also trying Opera as well. So far, both are great improvements.

Have you tried Opera? I don't think it's inherently Evil, and it's nice and fast.

I tried it back in my PC days. I could give it a try, although I will say that so far Chrome is nice.

Are you able to block annoying ads and animations?

And I decided to download it anf give it a go. Everyone should have 4 browsers on their laptop.

So far, it's much faster than either Safari or FF. I think Chrome is just a touch faster, but it could be the time of day.

I like some of the extras on Safari and FF, but I think they're what's slowing down the works.
