Favorite line of the day

I have to be careful what I post from here on out, because spoilers abound. Frex, the chapter I finished earlier today. I loves it, yes I does, but can't really post anything...

So, a line from the following chapter. Niall Pierce is talking to Torin Clase, the young journo-in-the-making who just stuck his foot in it up to his ribcage:

"Someday, boyo, you're going to learn the difference between being intelligent and being wise, and in between now and then I predict that you will get the shit kicked out of you at least once."

Thanks. Wish it could move faster. I have a shade over three weeks of leave left--no clue where the time went, really--and well, if I can write a solid finish and get started on the retooling of the first 2/3s, I guess I'll have to take it. I really need another month, but that's not going to happen.

Oh, I know--the slowness is insane-making. I'm struggling with speed on a novel revision right now... it's crawling forward, and I had so hoped it would leap!
