I love this recipe--it's flexible. I substitute white w/w flour for half the all-purpose, and they still come out moist. This time, I also held back half a cup of the raisins, and substituted a half cup of chocolate chips and a quarter-cup of diced crystallized ginger. I also added a quarter teaspoon or so of freshly-grated nutmeg. Additional spices don't do any harm, not with oatmeal and cinnamon.
