Well, technically southern California, but anyway. Got a tiny bit of frozen precipitation while I was whaling on a (not as) rotten (as I wished) log. Granted, I was at nearly 5000 feet, so this is not entirely outlandish. Fabulous weather for whaling on logs and other sorts of strenuous exercise.
D'you know that a solitary squirrel scampering across a slide area makes as much noise as a bear? You notice these things when you are on the trail alone. Actually, it sounded like a drunk and foolhardy hiker attempting to go off trail.
