It's been a decent weekend so far, even thought I haven't done the writing I wanted to because House Stuff Beckoned. Spent most of the afternoon rearranging the contents of the garage. Assembled a bike rack and racked the bike. Winterized the lawn mower. Dragged an old stepladder to the curb, only to have it vanish an hour or so later. It's not an unsafe ladder, but it's so freakin' long that it's impossible for me to store without making major changes to the garage. It's also hard for me to handle. I hope someone else makes good use of it. Meanwhile, I will keep my eye out for sales at local hardware big boxes as I would like one of those telescoping multi-configurational ladders that squish down to the size of an iPod.

Well, not really, but they're easier to handle than 16-ft montrosities.

Speaking of iPods, I went and committed same. It will probably arrive early next week, at which point I will waste altogether too much time I'm sure loading music onto it. I went with the 30GB video model in black. Looking forward to storing the stacks and stacks of CDs in a cool, dry place.

Hope everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a great one. Now I really should try to close down a chapter that's been dragging since forever while I tried to figure out the right words. I don't quite have them yet. Thank heaven for rewrites is all I can say.
